We will be closed Wednesday, May12 for staff training on our new plasma table, however the Guitar Fabrication class will meet 5:30 to 8:30.

Fab Lab ICC CLOSED from Wed. Feb. 17 through Fri. Feb. 19 due to inclement weather and the threat of rolling blackouts. (Check back here for Sat. Feb. 20 status or click HERE to sign up for text notifications. This includes the postponement of the Wednesday night Guitar Fabrication class and Thursday night's Entrepreneurial Mindset class. 

Update 2-10-21

Fab Lab ICC OPEN today, Feb. 10, 2012 from 1 PM to 7:30PM (work until 8.) The Guitar Fabrication class will meet at 5:30 for those that can safely make the trip.

In these notices, we always say "the COVID pandemic continues to be a unpredictable, fluid situation and the schedule is subject to change." This week, director Jim Correll tested positive for COVID and is working from home, nearly asymptomatic. Meanwhile manager Tim Haynes is off for two weeks to welcome new baby Ella Suzanne Haynes into this world. Since the plan was for director Jim to cover the Lab while Tim is parenting the new little one, we're left short-handed. Depending on the need, we have a couple of volunteers that can help facilitate the appointments. 

Update 1-15-2021 - Martin Luther King update

We will be closed from Saturday through Monday, January 16 to 18 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

Access to the Fab Lab: For the foreseeable future, the Brookside Drive entrance will be blocked. Please proceed to the intersection directly south of the lab and turn east. Watch for drive H (in front of Inge Theater) and enter there. During business hours, stop in front of the Inge Theater and someone will come out and take your temperature. (We will also do a temperature check when you log your visit as you come into the Lab.)

Update 9-28-2020- September 28 to October 3, 2020 Closure

Fab Lab ICC will be closed again this week (9/28 - 10/3) due to the increased COVID infection rates in the ICC dorms, although staff will be on hand. If you are a business owner and have an urgent project, please email info@fablabicc.org and we may be able to help get the project done and deliver it to you in our parking lot.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Fab Lab ICC will be open, on a somewhat limited basis, August 17 – September 30.

Access to the Lab: Use the entrance and stop in front of the Inge Theater on 58 Road. During certain hours, someone will come out  and take your temperature. Then you can proceed to the Lab south parking lot. 

Daytime Hours: appointments are strongly encouraged*

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 1:00 – 5:00

Wednesday, 1:00 - 5:00, except starting August 26 the Wednesday schedule will be 1:00 - 8:00.

Saturday, 9:00 – 1:00

Evening Hours: Tuesday and Thursday, appointments are required by 4 PM

Tuesday and Thursday, 5:00 – 7:00

            (If there are no appointments by 4 PM, the Lab will not be opened that evening.)

Special note about Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 PM to 2:30 PM:

• The Lasers, Stickers and Sawdust class takes place in the Lab on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. We strongly recommend appointments or calling ahead (620.252.5349) as some days, this class will have certain equipment tied up. If you make an appointment or call ahead, we'll know whether or not you'll be able too access the machine you need

The wearing of masks will be required by everyone in the Lab

Social distancing guidelines—maintaining 6 ft of distance when at all possible—will be required

*Occupancy will be limited to no more than 8 people in a given room; no more than 20 in the entire facility at a given time. 

Upon entering, we will take your temperature and ask health-screening questions.

We will develop our plan for Fab Lab ICC hours after September 30 as we see how things go related to the pandemic.
