Dress It Up, Sauce It Up with chef Arielle Gustafson (Zoom option available)
Fab Lab ICC's Fab Food Lab has booked professional chef Arielle Gustafson for its next round of community cooking classes. This class, Dress It Up, Sauce It Up, will include a tutorial on dressings and sauces featuring Honey Mustard Vinaigrette, Warm Bacon Dressing, bechamel and carbonara sauces. The class will be held September 21 in a hybrid format - live and recorded. Classes will begin at 11 a.m. at ICC West, 2615 W. Main, and can accommodate up to six in-person audience members.
Audience members will have the opportunity to interact, ask questions and sample the food prepared, and take-home recipes will be provided.
Chef Arielle is the owner/operator of The Penguin Cheesecakes, which opened in June 2020 to offer custom gourmet cheesecakes in Independence and the surrounding area. She served as the kitchen manager and sous chef at several local restaurants from 2016-2019 and previously was employed as the kitchen manager at Mercy Hospital Independence, where she oversaw daily meal service and catered multiple special events.
She earned culinary arts certification at Tri-County Tech in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Chef Arielle's passion is creating beautiful, edible works of art, and she loves teaching anyone who is willing to learn.
