Advanced Quilting-Easter Wall Hanging Class
25 in. x 25 in.
Taught by local quilting and sewing expert Janet Mayes, owner of The Little Orange Patch, this class is for the confident quilter with previous quilting experience. You will be using foundation paper pieced pattern that will progress in difficulty in order to teach basic foundation paper piecing skills.
Registrants will need to bring a sewing machine that is in good working order to hit the ground running. The class will meet 4 hours each Saturday. You will learn how to cut fabric pieces for your pattern, how to use a foundation pieced pattern, how to attach a sleeve for hanging, several methods you can use to machine or hand quilt your project and the basic techniques you will need to use foundation paper pieced patterns in the future.
Bring your lunch, snacks, and drink to sustain you for the 4 hours.
After registration you will receive a list of supplies to gather and bring with you to class. If you have need for a sewing machine or supplies, please reach out to Fab Lab ICC for resources.
While participating in this class you will receive a 12 week membership to Fab Lab ICC. In case you would like to continue your membership once the 12 weeks has expired, our system will send you an expiration notice, offering another full 12 months for $125. A membership gives you full access, during our hours and by appointment, to the machines and facilities of Fab Lab ICC including Sew Fab and the mid-arm quilting machine. See the website or a staff member for membership details and prices, including other membership types, i.e. Family.
